Market Stall

I am busily getting ready to do my first market tomorrow. It will be at Sylvania Public School Community Fair. I am very excited to see how it goes and what sort of a response I get.  It's been a nice challenge coming up with how to display my work. Now, we just need the rain to stop!

  1. 1. Make sure you work is priced, customers don't like asking for pricing.

    2. Make sure your stall has some height, don't ask why, but it works, a board propped up, hanging off a birdcage, anything with height.

    3. Don't sit behind your stall and stare/glare at people, VERY off putting, sit to the side and have work with you to do, they like that.

    4. Have cards with your details, can just be cut out of A4 printer paper, doens't have to be fancy.

    5. Price in increments of $5, easier for your float. Take more float that you think you will need and keep it in an apron pocket, not a tin that can get stolen.

    6. relax and smile and enjoy the experience!
