I have succumbed to the Pandora faze. There are lots are different brands of these bracelets and hundreds of different beads available. But, you can't buy a bead with a name on it, so I made some with my kids names. Then I made some for my friend with her kids names. Then another friend .......

I am busily getting ready to do my first market tomorrow. It will be at Sylvania Public School Community Fair. I am very excited to see how it goes and what sort of a response I get. It's been a nice challenge coming up with how to display my work. Now, we just need the rain to stop!

Jools asked how much my jewellery sells for. Most of the pendants are $70-$80 which includes a leather or sterling silver chain. I have a temporary store at Big Cartel (see link to the right) but the exciting news is I have the very talented Sam working on a new lovely website that you will be able to buy through. Yeh!
I have also sourced some anti-tarnish bags which I will include with purchases to keep your jewellery lovely and shiny.

I found some lovely buttons that I wanted to try on some jewellery. The buttons have nice intricate designs on them and press nicely. I promised my sister I would make her a necklace, so the LYN one is for her. I made the other for an 8 year old girl for her Birthday. Happy Birthday Bella!

I have just ordered some flyers from VistaPrint. Very exciting. Can't wait to see them. I have had a bit of interest in the Matryoshka Doll Pendant this week. The pendant was featured on a blog called 'If It's Hip, It's Here'. Very cool blog. The pendant, I'm calling her 'Kristen' is ready to go if anyone is interested. Please email me for details.

I have to admit something...I am not a superwoman. I'm just not one of these fantastic women that can run a family and a household, and find the time to do crafty things. I find school holidays prevents all craft activities (for me anyway) and when school went back, I thought I would have all this time and I seem to be busier than ever doing..I don't know what! Anyway, I am making an effort to get back into the swing of things. Here is the first little lady from the final design. I hope you like her.

Yesterday was my favourite day so far, since becoming a parent.
What was so momentus about this day? Well, my son learnt to ride a bike. I'm still not sure why I got such a kick out of this accomplishment, all kids learn to ride a bike at some point. Maybe it's because my son refused to learn before. He got this bike two years ago for Christmas! He rode it a few times with the training wheels, had a few crashes and that was it, he decided he was never going to ride a bike. I tried many times to convince him that everyone can learn to ride a bike and that it is so much fun.
So I was surprised when my husband suggested we take the bike, sans training wheels, with us on our holiday, and my son said, OK. After about 15 minutes of me running alongside, holding him steady, he GOT IT! And that was it. He spent every waking second, for the rest of our holiday, riding his bike.
The look on his face at this accomplishment was truly the best thing I've ever seen.
